I bit my lip as I slid on the clothing.

I was going to go train with onii-chan and Ita-chan and…Germany.

My heart fluttered just thinking about him. He would never notice me, except to tell me I wasn't running fast enough or that I needed to finish my laps or that the food onii-chan and I brought had too much sodium in it.

My training clothes was a black tank top with military-style pants stuffed into combat foots. I wore a belt and had pulled my hair into a braid, one that went past my knees.

"How do you work with that hair?" Germany would ask, honestly confused on how my long hair didn't get in my way.

"Ancient Japanese secret," I'd joke and smile.

Even if I wasn't a big fan of the training, watching Germany work so hard inspired me…and that was what pushed me to do better. Though I wasn't quite a fan of violence and war, it never hurt to be ready, correct?

I was the first one there; well, I was the first of everyone but Germany. He was stretching, warming his muscles up, and he seemed to be deep in thought.

I thought it best not to disturb him.

"Celestial?" he asked, and I was taken by surprise.

My name had been spoken so suddenly.

"S-sir?" I asked, with a hint of a tremble to my voice.

He noticed it, and his eyebrows furrowed as he thought something out, his jaw tightening. "Never mind."

As soon as Ita-chan arrived, which was nearly half an hour after onii-chan, who arrived at the perfect, exact time, we started training. Today was fifty laps, and I strained myself through all of them, only being able to keep up with Germany for the first three laps before falling behind and keeping a more sensible pace with my dear big brother.

The look on both of our faces only showed how much training hurt.

When we were done with the laps, we took a break and ate some food.

"Japan!" Ita-chan exclaimed. "This is really good! You should make food for us more often~"

"Thank you," my big brother blushed before eating some rice.

"No, it really is very good," Germany said.

"Celestial helped make it," big brother told them, his eyes shifting up to me.

I blushed. While it was true, I didn't usually like to be thrown in the spotlight like that.

And neither did Japan.

After training, Japan had to go meet up with America for some reason, and Romano dragged Italy off because Germany is such a potato-loving bastard or something like that, so Germany offered to walk me home.

I smiled and said that I'd like that.

However, it was incredibly awkward walking home with him. We didn't say anything at all, and both of our eyes were on anything but each other. After a while, the dark skies let out a gentle pitter-patter of rain, and Germany takes of his jacket, handing it to me so I can cover myself from the rain.

"Thank you," I whispered with a bit of a smile.

It might not mean very much to him but a simple act of chivalry, but this sweet, small gesture means the world to me.

"Sie begrüßen," he told me softly, and I felt his hand slightly brush my mine.

I felt a slight shiver and curled my fingers up, blushing red. I brought it up against my chest as I focused a little too hard on my boots. My heart was going so fast, I feared it'd beat right out of my chest and run away from me forever.

"Celestial?" he asked me, and I looked at him, question in my eyes. "Are you busy tonight?"

I was a bit shocked at his question; normally, all he ever did was act a bit nasty for not being an adequate soldier, but this request seemed absolutely…sweet. I couldn't help the small smile that escaped onto my face, and he seemed slightly surprised by it. I shook my head lightly.

"Would you like to go somewhere with me?"

"I…I'd like that very much," I whispered, keeping my eyes on his pale blue ones. "What time?"

"We…can go right now," he said before clearing his throat, hardening his accent. "Only if you want to, that is."

"I am up for anything."

I noticed the faint smile on his face as he looked ahead, and he then took my hand in his for a brief moment before blushing. "Come this way. Please. Follow me."

I was a bit saddened by how he pulled away, but I followed him quickly, trying to keep up.

He led me to his house.

I had never been into Germany's house. Even when he had invited me in, I had been too shy to enter. So, naturally, I was hesitant when he opened the door to his house, and he turned around, expecting me to come in.

I had never been alone with a guy in his home.

But he held out his hand, and I took it, stepping in.

His house was completely orderly, which was much expected. There is a sweet scent in the air, such as if he…had been baking.

But he spent the whole day with us. Why would it smell like sugar, spices, and flour in here?

"I…wanted you to try something," he told me, working hard to appear emotionless. "Peach kuchen," he said as he indicated towards cake on the counter, and then he pointed at what was next to it, "and pfeffernuesse."

And I took one of the cookies, the pfeffernuesse.

"Wait!" he called out before he rushed to get me a glass of milk. "They're extremely hard right now. They will be difficult to bite without this."

I grinned and said, "Thank you for the sweets, Germany."

"I…know you cook often for us," Germany began as he watched me dunk a cookie into the milk. "So, I decided to…thank you properly." He seemed slightly taken back by my continuous show of smiles, but smiling was something I did often. Maybe he wasn't used to them being directed towards him? "Do you…like them?"

"They're yummy~" I giggled before my cheeks shot up in color, and I lowered my head. "T-thank you."

"Celestial?" he asked, and I looked up…but then his words got caught in his throat. "You…you're a great soldier."

"Oh," I whispered, surprised at the compliment. "Thank you."

He covered his face, groaning. "No, no. That…is not what I meant."

"What you…meant?"

He then grasped me by the shoulders and pulled me towards him. "Celestial…I…" He groaned and tightened his grip a bit, making me squeak. He noticed my discomfort and let me go, whispering, "Ich liebe dich…eine ganze Menge."

I had spent enough time around him to know what it meant, and I smiled. "A-aishiteru, Germany."

He seemed shocked that I could return these feelings back for him, and he gently cupped my the side of my face, bringing it towards him.

And then I saw Prussia and freaked.

I let out a yelp and used Germany as a cover; Prussia terrified me to no end, and he let out a hackle, enjoying my reaction. His red eyes were bright, and he headed towards me, stopping in front of Germany.

"What? You're afraid of me?" he laughed, and then looked at his younger brother. "Oi. Bruder. What are you doing with this kleine Puppe?"

"G-germany…I want to go home," you whispered feverishly, clutching his torso as you looked over his shoulder to catch sight of the evil man.

"Is she always this annoying? She doesn't deserve to be in my prescence," Prussia barked as he rolled his eyes.

"Bruder!" Germany shouted, and he broke out into a string of German words I couldn't possibly understand. He seemed absolutely enraged, and you were pretty sure a good, sizeable about of his words were swear words.

Prussia simply shrugged and moved past us for the cake. "Kuchen!" he exclaimed and grabbed a fork, diving in.

Germany took you, still trembling, away from the white-haired narcissist, towards the door. "Es tut mir leid für meinen Bruder," he told me as we headed out, and he held on firmly to my own hand, as if I would slip away if he didn't.

That made my heart flutter.

We said nothing as we headed straight for my home, and when we arrived, he simply cradled my face and kissed me sweetly.

It is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me, and it took me forever to react; it took so long, in fact, that he pulled back in confusion, staring at me with those lovely, blue eyes.

"Celestial? What's wrong?"

And then I grasped his face, shedding my shy exterior, and I whispered, "Call me Akahana," before I pressed my lips against his.

He tasted faintly of kuchen. c:

I had to retype half of it because I really hated the direction it was going, and I am kind of okay with this ending.

Sorry if it's bad. >.<

Anyway, thanks for reading, y'all! c:

So sweet! I loved everything about this fanfiction except about the hating on Gilbert. I love all my hetalia babies the same. :3
